Tank Status Command Column Definitions

In your tank status screens, Production, Storage, Processing and complete, you have specific commands that you can use to change the status of any tank.

 

Log - The log button will allow you to view all the transactions associated with the specific tank chosen.

Update - The update feature will allow you to:

• update the proof of your spirits
• update the account that your tank is located
  • Once your tank is moved to processing bulk, the TTB does not allow it to be moved back to storage
• update your internal spirit type
• update your anticipated use
• update the subtype of the spirit
• update the value of the spirit
• update the owner of the spirit, if the tank does not have an owner

Adjust - Adjust is used to increase or decrease the proof gallons in your tank (use the update feature to change proof only).

Move - Move allows you to move all or part of a tank to another tank.

Filter - Filter allows you to record a filtration run. Any 'Filter' Type Raw Materials can be consumed and losses applied.

Cut - The cut button will take you to the cut to proof calculator and allow you to decrease your tank proof to a desired proof.

Batch details - Add any notes to the tank that you feel necessary.

Bottle - Allows you to directly bottle the spirit within the selected tank as long as it's currently in the Processing Bulk account.

• Make sure the spirit is in the Processing Bulk account and has a product masters setup. If you do not have both requirements when selecting Bottle the system will give you a red error message.

On the Tank Screen, when do I use: Log | Update | Adjust | Move | Cut | Batch Details

Log - Shows you a complete history of the tank including what was entered, removed, or adjusted in that tank. Update - Use this link to Change the Internal Spirit Type, Set an Anticipated Use to a Product Master, Update the Proof (Without Changing the Proof Gallons), and Change the Account (Like Move from Storage to Processing Bulk). Adjust - Manually gauge the tank to adjust the Proof Gallons in the Tank and Report a Gain or Loss. Move - Move some or all of the Proof Gallons in one tank to another tank inside the SAME account. Cut - Auto-populates the Proof to Cut Tool with the Tank data. Enter in a Desired Proof and it will estimate how much water to add. Return back to Tank Status screen to Manually Update the Tank with the new Proof. Batch Details - Allows you to log special notes or details about the tank.

 

I have a finished batch or dumped batch of spirits in Processing Bulk. How do I move that back into the Storage Account to be re-barreled?

By regulations, you are not permitted to move something from the Processing Bulk account back to the Storage account. If you are finishing spirits in a special barrel (like a port or sherry barrel) in Processing, create a New Tank to hold the spirits in your Processing Bulk Account. You can call that Tank "Barrel #" to help you identify where those spirits are physically. You can always simulate that a Tank is a "Barrel" in your tank status screens.
