Enter Starting Finished Goods Inventory

Introduction:

During your initial implementation of Whiskey Systems, you will need to enter any on-hand Finished Goods (Product Masters or Mixed Product Masters) as part of your starting inventory. This helps ensure accurate reporting moving forward.

Note: Before entering starting data into Whiskey Systems, make sure you've taken a recent physical inventory of your bottled spirits throughout your bonded premises. 

Prerequisites:

• You must have all of your Product Masters set up in Whiskey Systems before entering starting inventory. For more information, see Product Master Setup
• If applicable, you must have all of your Mixed Product Masters set up in Whiskey Systems before entering starting inventory. For more information, see Mixed Product Master Setup
• If you store Finished Goods in a warehouse other than your default bonded premises, make sure you have set up all applicable warehouse. For more information, see Warehouse Setup (Read Time: 3 mins)

Enter starting tank inventory:

1. Using the navigation menu, go to Settings.
2. Navigate to Starting Inventory > Starting Finished Goods
3. The Starting Finished Goods Inventory table will display all available warehouses, product masters, and mixed product masters in your system. Per warehouse:
   1. Enter the Starting Cases/Packs quantity.
   2. Enter the Starting Bottles quantity. 
   3. Enter the total dollar ($) value of the product. 
   4. Repeat these steps for all product masters, mixed product masters, and warehouses. 
4. Click Save.

Note: Once your starting inventory has been set, any modifications to inventory will need to be made to individual items.
