To preserve the reporting and costing history of raw materials, raw materials with history of use cannot be deleted from Whiskey Systems. Instead, users may use the Hide/Disable feature to remove unused raw materials from displays and drop downs.
Limitations
- Raw materials cannot be disabled if they are attached to Mash Bills or Recipes. Users should first edit or delete mash bills and/or recipes to remove the unused item before disabling/hiding raw materials.
- Disabling a raw material will close any open lots of that raw material. It will not scrap any inventory remaining in those lots.
- Disabled raw materials are not removed from the list of raw materials in Settings, but they will no longer appear in any system lists, displays, or drop downs outside of Settings.
To disable a raw material, navigate to Settings / Raw Materials, located in the Definitions section.
Locate the unused raw material and click Edit on the left side of the row.
Check Hide/Disabled and Submit to save.
