There are 2 things that need to be done prior to entering a Bottling Run:
- Tank account must be in processing bulk.
- Product Master must be created for the Internal Spirit Type that is being used
To access the desired function, please navigate through the following steps:
- Navigate to the side menu icon in the upper left-hand corner.
- Then select "Processing," from the menu options.
- Within the "Processing" section, locate and click on "Bottling."
- Finally, initiate a new operation by selecting the option labeled, "New Bottling Run."
Step 1: Source Tanks
Select an Internal Spirit Type to bottle. This will filter all available bottling tanks that contain the designated Spirit Type.
Step 2: Bottling Details
Enter your bottling details including number of cases and loose bottles packaged. Start Serial number will continue from last entered bottling for the specified product.
Step 3: Consume Packaging Materials.
This step shows the packaging that is currently set up for the Product Master you are bottling and how many units of that packaging are on hand as well as how many are being consumed. This is a good screen to check the number of bottles produced. For this bottling run, I created enough spirits for 20 cases. When bottling the spirits, I was able to get one extra bottle out of the tank, creating 241 total bottles.
Note: Users can also add any additional packaging items not already in the details by selecting Add Selected As Additional Material.
Step 4: Amount Left in Tank
This step shows the proof gallon details of the bottling run. The 20 cases and one bottle equaled 46.20 proof gallons, leaving 3.4 proof gallons in the tank. Since there were no additional bottles created, the 3.4 proof gallons are considered loss. IF you were bottling only a portion of the tank, for example 10 cases, you would not change the proof gallons left in tank. This would leave a partial tank in processing bulk for bottling at a later date.
For our example, I need to change the 3.4 proof gallons to zero then hit "tab" on your keyboard.
Step 4: Confirm Loss/Gain - Add Labor Hours.
Click Submit to complete the operation.
Proof and Fill Checks
The TTB requires proof and fill checks according to 27 CFR 19.356 : Alcohol content and fill.
Click Add New to begin.
Users can have multiple fill checks for one bottling run. Be sure to change the date and time to match your records.
Users can view the Fill Proof Check reports from the the Bottling Run Log.
