Users can scrap materials to remove them from inventory without a compensatory action (i.e. new cook, bottling, batching, etc.).
To scrap Raw Material inventory, navigate to Raw Materials/Transactions/New Scrap.
Complete the required and optional details:
Source Warehouse: The location of the inventory to be scrapped
- Associates Spirit Type/Product Master: Optional filter to associate the scrap with a specific spirit type or product, i.e. deprecating a product and liquidating unnecessary inventory. Selecting an item from either list will filter the displayed raw materials to those associated with the spirit type or product master.
- Quantity: This form may be used to scrap one material or many. Note: only raw materials with available inventory (quantity > 0) will appear on the form.
- Note: Add a note if desired to associate with the scrap action.
Scrap transactions will appear in the Raw Material Transaction Log. In the case of an error in entering a scrap transaction, users may delete the transaction by clicking the link next to it in the log.
